my car repair
Friday evening when I made the turn onto our 1/4 mile driveway I heard a loud clunk from the right rear of the car. By the time I got in the house I'd forgotten about it. Saturday morning he and I left for Lowe's about 25 miles away. I told him about the noise. After about 10 miles he heard it. We pulled into a parking lot and he looked under the car. A stabilizer had broken. It was swinging loose and banging around. We were able to go on to Lowe's and back home again. He bought shower supplies for the new shower he is installing in the bathroom. I drove the station wagon the next day for church. Monday he called an auto salvage yard and sent me to get the part. Later that day he sent me to AutoZone for new bushings. They didn't sell the bushings separately. I called him on the cell phone and he said buy the whole thing. We didn't have much choice. That evening I helped him install the new stabilizer. He never complained. Today I can drive my own car again.

Oregon trip
The two of us flew to Oregon June 1st. We stayed with his parents. He has 3 siblings that live nearby. A fourth one lives in Washington state. We drove to Salem, Oregon to have lunch with that brother and his wife. We shopped in a mall after lunch. Monday night the 3 siblings came over for supper. There were a lot of nieces and nephews including 4 great nieces and nephews. Sunday morning early we went to a park hoping for a hot air balloon ride but we got there too late. I've never had a ride like that and wasn't sure I'd actually do it. Maybe next year. We visited the Applegate Trail Interpretive Center. There was a stuffed full-size upright bear in a menacing pose. As we walked by it a growl came over the sound system. My four year old great nephew was ready to leave! One morning we went to my great nephew's preschool program. Went to church with my mother-in-law Sunday morning. Tried to watch Star Wars Episode 3 but it was mostly noise and nonsense for me. My dear husband left the movie early just for me.
