raise, rain
He got a raise at work and told me to go blow $50 on myself. I found a sterling silver necklace with onyx beads for $50 marked down to $20. I still got $30 to spend!
He got called out at 9:00 p.m. tonight. Poor guy. Already spent 8 hours out there.
At least we got a little over two inches of rain finally here in central Oklahoma. Now he won't have to water his two almond trees, two roses, five apple trees, a pecan tree, three peach trees, a redbud and one unknown tree. The filberts died. He won't water the forsythia, but at least he doesn't cut it down. I like it. I water the amaryllis and the roses now and then. The moss roses by the gate get watered regularly.
Since all the wild fires he decided to buy a tractor with a brush hog. We're saving $ for it. This 30 plus acres has a lot of tall grass, weeds and brush. About 2 months ago lightning started a fire but the rain put it out. I never knew it till I drove by the burned spot.
